none ICW statements on the 5 key themes of the Positive Women's Forum
The global response to HIV cannot be effective without the meaningful involvement of people living with HIV.

In providing leadership for the global response to the pandemic, the World YWCA partnered with the international Community of Women living with HIV (ICW) to actively promote the creation of a safe space for women living with HIV through the Positive Women's Forum and the International Women's Summit.

It is only with close collaboration with women living with HIV that an effective solution to HIV and AIDS can be achieved. At the International Women's Summit on Women and HIV held in Nairobi, ICW and the World YWCA created statements around the five key themes of the Positive Women's Forum.

To guide discussions at the summit, ICW and the World YWCA created these handouts with suggested talking points to initiate meaningful discussion and debate that would ensure the inclusion of women living with HIV and AIDS.

The handouts can be downloaded and used to generate further discussion and debate on these topics:

  1. Women’s Leadership and Economic Empowerment (55.29 kB)
  2. Affordable Treatment and Treatment Issues (57.60 kB)
  3. Advocacy to End Gender Inequalities (54.31 kB)
  4. Ending Stigma and Discrimination (54.17 kB)
  5. Human Rights, Sexual and Reproductive Health & the Rights of Women and Girls (140.03 kB)
