Is there a bright future for the funding of programmes to improve the lives of women and girls, particularly in the face of HIV and AIDS? This session will share research around global funding for programmes targeting women, as well as explore trends within the feminist philanthropy movement. It will also examine how funds can be used more effectively to achieve change and provide a vision for what could be achieved if programmes targeting women and girls were sufficiently resourced. This session will review the challenges to be overcome in securing increased investment in women and girls, and their programmes. It will also assist women’s groups to access resources from available channels such as the Global Fund to Fight TB, Malaria and AIDS.
